We spent a week at Colonial Williamsburg. If you ever plan to go get the resort packages. You get free tickets to event and free breakfast in the morning and it is a great spread. Going out to eat at the Colonial Williamsburg owned restaurants can get very expensive. Don't be afraid to get out your travel aps on your phone and do a search in surrounding areas. We honestly didn't think about it until our last couple of days after every meal cost a lot.

So I finally had some free time while M is playing with her toys. Reading a post on Facebook made me want to look up the dumb laws in this state that I now call my home, Indiana. I am originally born and raised a Buckeye! We had to move away due to my husbands plant closing down and having to transfer to the closest place to Ohio. Anyway here they go
I got these from Dumb Laws
Waitresses may not carry drinks into a restaurant or bar.
It is illegal for a man to be sexually aroused in public. --- I just have to say this must have been an issue at one time for it to be a law! lol
Hotel sheets must be exactly 99 inches long and 81 inches wide. --- Hmmm wonder if this is enforced
If any person has a puppet show, wire dancing or tumbling act in the state of Indiana and receives money for it, they will be fined $3 under the Act to Prevent Certain Immoral Practices.
Anyone 14 or older who profanely curses, damns or swears by the name of God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost, shall be fined one to three dollars for each offense, with a maximum fine of ten dollars per day. ---- Indiana would be rich!
A three dollar fine per pack will be imposed on anyone playing cards in Indiana under the Act for the Prevention of Gaming.
Drinks on the house are illegal.
Liquor stores may not sell milk. --- There are a lot of liquor stores in our area! So sad and crime is horrible maybe they should sell milk.
You can get out of paying for a dependent’s medical care by praying for him/her. --- Really? wow!

Ok so I have been wanting to write about this for a month now because I wondered if anyone else had a carpet grazer. My definition of carpet grazer is any small crawling little blabbing, non-talking, crying for attention, grabbing anything in their path person! Yes I have a little one here right now who seriously picked up a small piece of paper that I lost earlier and didn't see where it went. I looked over and she was munching on something. I fished it out and sure enough that little piece of paper she found. You seriously have to follow in front of them or behind them with a vacuum cleaner to make sure they aren't eating anything they shouldn't. Tags must be taken off immediately or she will devour them! I can't figure out why she loves them but she does. We were at my brother's house this past weekend and she found a screw, freaked me out! Luckily crisis averted by not swallowing it! I'm thinking the solution to her grazing is put her in pack n play in the morning before I get the floor swept!
I seriously love KMart because I earn some great points when I get every day items. I have on average 30 Points a month to get a little something extra! This past month I got a Step 2 Kids' Duck Pond Splash Water Table for $27.99 on clearance for summer play next year and didn't pay a dime because I had so many points. You can buy it online for $34.99 
Spoiling them!
Of course I do! My husband is a great reminder for me when I buy too much lol. I have slowed down because they started to not really play with everything I got for them. Seriously when my girls were little I didn't have the money for extra's I think that is part of the reason why I spoil the grand-babies. Because I can, of course my daughter bought a shirt for my granddaughter that said "I'm spoiled because mommy can't spank grandma" Hint Hint...
I am now buying less to save for the big ticket items for their first birthday! My granddaughter will be 1 year on Oct. 30 and grandson will be 1 year on Nov.6.
Missing Dad
It is one of those days that I miss him so much. My dad passed away October 19, 2007 at the age of 54 from complications due to the genetic Huntington's Disease. He inherited on his mom's side who also passed away young. The disease has a 50/50 chance of affecting my 3 brothers and I. So far I haven't seen any definite signs of any of us having it and we are all about the age people in my family start really seeing signs. Of course it could be that none of us want to see those signs. A lot of those signs are forgetfulness but that comes with age too, dropping things, falling for no apparent reason, uncontrollable movements in arms and legs or hands. I remember first seeing signs in my dad but didn't realize it was Huntington's. A lot of things weren't really known about it at that time or at least it wasn't discussed with us because we were young. I knew it was a disease but I didn't realize that it could be passed from one generation to another. I had my first daughter when my grandma passed away from it and still didn't know that it could be passed down to even her if I was to have it. It makes me sad that I wasn't told, I am sure deciding to have kids would have been a bigger issue. But that doesn't matter now because there is nothing that can be done about it. I love my girls and wouldn't want it any other way. Praying for a cure in my lifetime but if not hopefully in theirs.
Wonderful memories of my dad will always be with us, and that can't be taken away. My dad loved to fish, make homemade ice cream, and take us on adventures. Not saying he was the perfect dad but I loved him regardless of his faults, because don't we all have them.

What does it take to win?
-- Persistence! Means you have to visit that giveaway everyday and do as many optional daily things as possible. Comments, tweets and pins are usually the common ones.
I have heard some people say they will do so many of the Facebook likes, twitter likes, comments and pinterest follows at a time then do more to break up and have chunks of entries throughout the giveaway.
It takes time to do some giveaways so it seems the best way is to do it that way! Who knows it could help in increasing your odds.
I am going to compile a list of blogs that I think are the best with giveaways and are the easiest to enter on another post.
I don't have the time to fill out 1000 likes and follows so I avoid most of those. Unless it is something I could really use.
Only do ones that you will use or if you know someone can use!
A lot of times the prizes make great gifts for friends and family so if you see one you like do it.
I know some people are intimidated by giveaways with thousands of entries but honestly it only takes one unless of course their are multiple wins per giveaway. I have won a few with over 20,000 entries so it's possible. I do however avoid the really huge entry ones because they are the ones that have all of the entry options.
Don't let me discourage you from doing them though because you never know, you could get lucky and win!
I am so happy I am a grandma but it sure didn't start out that way. I have 5 kids 3 mine 2 hubbies. We have tried hard to blend our family and make it a stable home. They are all almost grown now so I say we did pretty good, however....
It was April of last year My oldest daughter decided to text me that she was pregnant with my granddaughter Madison. She later told me she was scared because she didn't want me to be disappointed. I can't lie I really was disappointed because she was in college her first year and I just saw me through her situation. I too was in first year of college when I had my first daughter. Then a week later my youngest daughter came to me with her boyfriend and I just had a gut feeling that I knew what was coming with their wanting to talk to me. I felt this feeling in my throat and stomach that felt like I was being crushed. She told me that she to was pregnant. Not going to lie the first thing I can think of was to numb the blow I had been dealt in a weeks time. She was my baby how can she be having a baby. She was only 17 years old and has so much ahead of her. Move forward about nine months I was rushing to the hospital to take my middle daughter who had been having contractions all night. After about 6 hours of labor doctor noticed a change in her heart rate and rushed her for an emergency c-section. The nurse came out and said do you want to see your granddaughter. Well duh, lol of course I wanted to see her. I can't tell you how much LOVE I immediately felt for that little bundle! She made me forget about the previous nine months of feeling lost on what could be of my girls lives. She ended up being in the hospital for about 3 days to start healing for c-section. So fast forward to a total of 6 days after my granddaughter was born my youngest my baby herself was in labor. I had literally just got some sleep finally when she called me to take her to hospital. She ended up being in labor for 9 hours with the final result of c-section because my grandson's cord was short and it was being pinched with every contraction. I paced the floor again till about another 30 minutes and the nurse came to me and gave me a funny look. Yes, she recognized me from the previous days with my middle daughter and said Oh my goodness you poor woman but congratulations a healthy baby boy would you like to see him. Again that feeling of LOVE fell over me and I just couldn't help but grin non-stop. Here I was in a matter of 6 days being a grandma twice over. So now I spend as much time as humanly possible with them because they are just such a joy. They are now both 9 months and crawling everywhere. Beautiful babies if I do say so myself!
