Our vacation to Colonial Williamsburg

We spent a week at Colonial Williamsburg. If you ever plan to go get the resort packages. You get free tickets to event and free breakfast in the morning and it is a great spread. Going out to eat at the Colonial Williamsburg owned restaurants can get very expensive. Don't be afraid to get out your travel aps on your phone and do a search in surrounding areas. We honestly didn't think about it until our last couple of days after every meal cost a lot.

We loved our room it was very period correct other than the tv and Keurig in our room.... We didn't turn our tv one time we were so busy and at the end of the day totally worn out.

Strange Laws in Your state

So I finally had some free time while M is playing with her toys. Reading a post on Facebook made me want to look up the dumb laws in this state that I now call my home, Indiana. I am originally born and raised a Buckeye! We had to move away due to my husbands plant closing down and having to transfer to the closest place to Ohio. Anyway here they go

I got these from Dumb Laws

Waitresses may not carry drinks into a restaurant or bar.

It is illegal for a man to be sexually aroused in public. --- I just have to say this must have been an issue at one time for it to be a law! lol

Hotel sheets must be exactly 99 inches long and 81 inches wide. --- Hmmm wonder if this is enforced

If any person has a puppet show, wire dancing or tumbling act in the state of Indiana and receives money for it, they will be fined $3 under the Act to Prevent Certain Immoral Practices.

Anyone 14 or older who profanely curses, damns or swears by the name of God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost, shall be fined one to three dollars for each offense, with a maximum fine of ten dollars per day. ---- Indiana would be rich!

A three dollar fine per pack will be imposed on anyone playing cards in Indiana under the Act for the Prevention of Gaming.

Drinks on the house are illegal.

Liquor stores may not sell milk. --- There are a lot of liquor stores in our area! So sad and crime is horrible maybe they should sell milk.

You can get out of paying for a dependent’s medical care by praying for him/her. --- Really? wow!

“Spiteful Gossip” and “talking behind a person’s back” are illegal. ----- That is a lot of arrests in one day!

One may not sniff glue. ----- And one shouldn't

One man may not back into a parking spot because it prevents police officers from seeing the license plate. ---- I see this all the time. Not enforced obviously.

All males 18 to 50 years old must work six days a year on public roads. ---- Must be a seriously old law!
